The Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions’ VORTEX - High-speed Data Recording, Playback & Analysis Systems provides signal processing applications for real-time data, meeting demands of increased bandwidth and complexity. Curtiss-Wright Controls provides high-speed recording products customers can program. The VORTEX - High-speed Data Recording, Playback & Analysis Systems are based on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components and open standards: VPX (VITA 46), VPX-REDI (VITA 48), VXS (VITA 41), VME, PCI/PCI-X, PMC/XMC, Fibre Channel, and Serial FPDP (sFPDP).
The Vortex Data Recorders’ hardware and software products focus on high-speed streaming, data recording, playback, and analysis, performing from below 100MB/s to several GB/s of sustained bandwidth per channel. These speeds allowing vast amounts of gathered information, storage subsystems, ranging from a few hundred Gigabytes to tens of Terabytes, are available. Media options include solid state, rugged, semi-rugged and commercial devices.
