The SMU performs data fusion functions by gathering, storing, managing, and re-transmitting crucial data to ground stations quickly and accurately with legacy and technologically advanced high-speed, high bandwidth sensor/payload interfaces.
Curtiss-Wright Controls SMU facilitates data management from all airborne payload configurations by incorporating support for numerous I/O interfaces, including Gigabit Ethernet (GigE), Fiber Channel, 1553, ECL, RS-422/485/232, and RS-170 video.

Curtiss-Wright Controls ground station electronics inherits its legacy from our sensor management products. Both ground station electronics and our sensor management family share the same technology building blocks and operate together to provide communication between unmanned aerial vehicles and ground stations.
