Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions’ VS-SBOD 3U Rack Mount Switched Bunch of Disks Storage System accommodates up to 16 low profile FC disk drives for up to 6.4 TB of storage. The VS-SBOD 3U storage device uses 1, 2 or 4 Gb/s Fibre Channel switched topology backplane and redundant quad initiator ports to perform in various switched loop configurations. In a four loop configuration, CWCDS’ VS-SBOD achieves an aggregate sustained throughput of 1.28 GB/s inner track performance. The VS-SBOD partners perfectly with Curtiss-Wright’s Vortex data recorder family.
