Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions’ SANbric storage system enables commercial Fibre Channel disks to be used for high-speed, streaming data recording applications in harsh environments. The SANbric is a rugged removable storage device providing 2.7 Terabytes of storage capacity in a JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) configuration. It enables the power, flexibility and ease of use of Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) to be fully exploited.
The SANbric is a sealed metal enclosure housing up to six high-performance hard drives. The unit makes use of dual-port, enterprise-class, Fibre Channel drives, allowing high-speed data recording in high-altitude rugged environments.
The SANbric rugged storage system is mounted in a shock isolation unit (SIU) or lab rack mount chassis. During deployment, the SIU isolates the SANbric from harsh operating environments. After data is acquired, the SANbric can be moved to the laboratory for processing and analysis. A lab rack mount chassis enable multiple SANbrics to be easily mounted and the data played back for analysis
