DID48 — 48-Channel, Debounced Discrete Input IP Module
Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions’ DID48--48-channel, debounced discrete input IP Module--improves CPU performance with its contact debouncing capability and interrupt driven engine, helping applications with many noisy, switch and relay contact inputs. With its modular design, Curtiss-Wright Controls’ DID48 offers up to 240 discrete inputs through a single VME slot using the VMESC5 carrier or up to 288 inputs through a single PC slot using the ISASC6 carrier. For a more customized, modular I/O system solution, users can mix the DID48 with other IP Modules. Features
- Four, user-selectable, debouncing time windows that tailor interfacing to small-to-large chatter/noise sources
- ±32 volts of input protected against voltageoverloads--using new technology, the DID48 offers this protection and high-input density in a single IP Module design
- Hardware debouncing that eliminates the bounce and noise from switches and relay contacts, providing clean input signals
- Elimination of all software required for algorithms needed to debounce inputs, reducing the systems’ cost
- 48 channels all able to generate interrupts--on change--creating more flexibility and event driven power
- Debouncer’s sampling clock available for system-level synchronization
- Simple Interrupt engine for signaling, special on any input logic change on a per byte lane basis
- Per byte-lane disabling of hardware debouncing for direct, (clean) logic interfacing
