DAC128V — 8-Channel, 12-Bit, 8 Voltage Ranges, D-A Converter
Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions’ DAC128V 8-channel, 12-bit, D-A converter’s eight voltage ranges can be selected in two groups of four, providing output range versatility unavailable on other marketed DAC boards. Its modular design allows a single VME slot with the VMESC5 carrier to hold up to 40 channels of high performance D-A and a single PC slot with the ISASC6 carrier up to 48 channels. For a more customized, modular I/O system solution, users can mix Curtiss Wright Controls’ DAC128V with other IP Modules. Application Features
- Four different buffered reference outputs
- Largest number of output ranges possible on an output board
- Output range versatility, with eight different ranges able to be selected in 2 groups of 4, not available on other DAC boards
- Hard drive capability with no added external buffer in most applications
- Power option via the I/O connector, giving use of either the carrier power or an external power source
- No wait-states combined with write- and read-back accesses, permitting simpler system architectures that run at maximum speeds
- Direct and series-terminated outputs that reduce signal ringing when using high-capacitance cables
